MERRY XMAS!

Merry Xmas folks!! We're spending the day making our bar as Xmassy as possible... Expect plenty of tinsel when you pop in x

XMAS!

THANK YOU! WHAT A MOVEMBER!

If you swung in at all this past month, it’s more then likely you’ll have seen our back bar stocked with donation tins and tubs!

For those of you that weren’t aware, here at Rescue Rooms and Stealth we’ve been working in conjunction in conjunction with a group of Nottingham Trent University students in aid of the John van Geest Cancer Research Centre. (http://www.rescuerooms.com/blog/206-movember-john-van-geest-cancer-research-centre)

Our bartenders have been crushing, muddling, shaking and pouring hundreds of super sweet strawberry and orange Mojitos over the last few weeks, and you’ve certain dug deep in the name of the JVG charity (we’re sure a few sore heads were had along the way!).

And as the month reaches its climax, we’re absolutely over the moon to announce final figures of...

over £1160!!

all of which will be donated by the students to the fantastic people at the Jon Van Geest centre.

Group organiser and Trent student Katy Waterfield said: “The John van Geest Cancer Research unit have discovered a new drug that is currently in clinical trials, that not only treats prostate cancer, but kills it completely. The incredible amount of money will be put toward these trials”.

She continued, “The Rescue Rooms and Stealth were so generous and enthusiastic supporting this campaign and helping it make a complete success!”

From all of us here at Rescue Rooms and Stealth we want to extend a massive THANK YOU!

Stay Classy

CAGE THE ELEPHANT

We're over the moon to say that we'll have CAGE THE ELEPHANT here on 14th Feb next year:

Cage the Elephant, who release their new album ‘Tell Me I’m Pretty’ through Columbia Records on 18th December, have confirmed a string of European shows in February. The gigs will be the bands’ first since playing with Foals at Alexandra Palace in Feb 2014. The Times raved about those shows, reporting, “charismatic singer Matt Shultz ended stripped to the waist, upside down in the crowd, feet flailing above the heads around him”. Cage The Elephant recently performed an equally exhilarating set during a secret show at CMJ with Consequence of Sound describing the show as “absolutely wild” and said “Matt Shultz has developed a reputation as a fearless performer, and his daredevil antics were on full display.” ‘Tell Me I’m Pretty‘ was produced by Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys & The Arcs, mixed by Tom Elmhirst (Amy Winehouse, Adele, Florence + the Machine) and recorded at Easy Eye Sound in Nashville, TN, near the group’s hometown of Bowling Green, KY.

They've just released their new single 'Trouble' which follows last month's more upbeat 'Mess Around'. Listen to both below!

You can get tickets now here.

EXCELLENT BOOZE NEWS

Here at Rescue Rooms HQ, we are absolutely stoked to welcome both Hoxton Cidersmith Sixpointsix Craft and Michelin & Brown Vintage Ciders to the Rescue Rooms’ fridges.

Hoxton Cidersmiths, originating in Herefordshire, burst onto the craft cider scene late last year before relocating to City Road, London.

Sixpointsix (6.6%) is an oak aged cider with creamy, vanilla note that is sure knock your socks off! Whilst Michelin & Brown (4.5%) uses only fallen English apples to yield a sharp, crisp edge - a proper lazy man’s cider.

Both bottles are available for just £4.50 in the Rescue Rooms bar. Bottoms up!
