Dawn Trader Xmas Party, Dawn Trader and more live at The Rescue Rooms

  • Sunday 18th December 2011
  • Supported by: Sunday's Child + Suckerpunch

Nottingham favourites DAWN TRADER are throwing a 2011 Xmas Party at the Rescue Rooms on Sunday 18th December!

Reformed in 2010, a mere 26 years after splitting up, they released their debut album, "Castle" in May this year to strong critical acclaim (9/10 in Powerplay and Classic Rock Magazine's track of the Day) and have gone on to support Y&T and the mighty STATUS QUO in recent months.

Known in the 1980's as one of the hottest unsigned bands on the British rock scene Trader played with such luminaries as Krokus, Magnum and Def Leppard and gained a well-deserved reputation for cracking original songs and an electrifying (and sometimes "explosive"!) live show. Supported by their fiercely loyal fans they were a regular feature at Rock City Xmas parties in the 80's, selling the venue out each year and even drinking the place completely dry in 1982(!) as they welcomed special guests on-stage from the likes of Saxon, Whitesnake and The Climax Blues Band.

SO it will be an emotional return for band and fans alike as they renew the tradtions this year, fittingly in the fantastically refurbished Rescue Rooms, for a night of awesome classic heavy rock, surprise special guests and two killer support bands, Sunday's Child and Suckerpunch. So get your Xmas celebration period off to a flying start and come and see one of the true legends of Nottingham live on stage!
