Shut The Front Door, The Rescue Rooms

  • Thursday 6th June 2013
  • Supported by: Closing Summer Party

Everyone deserves a tropical summer send off right? After 5 full to the brim events in our humble Tiki Shack, the final Shut The Front Door of the year sees us increase the levels and take our exotic tropical and disco groove to a much larger space.

We are very excited to welcome the most tropical artist in the USA right now for his Nottingham debut, Moon Boots to grace our stage. Joining Moon Boots will be the unique electronic trio DrDr performing live adding some bass orientated sounds and washing vocals to the tropical vibe. We will be transforming Rescue Rooms into a tropical paradise to create the ultimate summer vibe for our summer closing party... That's just how we do things

MOON BOOTS [French Express]

Based in the United States and signed to forward thinking label French express, Moon Boots musically embodies EVERYTHING that we stand for at Shut the Front Door. Since establishing himself with early releases such as his tropical rework of 'Got Somebody' and his own original 'Sugar', Moon Boots has been fist pumping away at the very forefront of the regeneration of disco music. With his latest remix of Bondax being pumped out of speakers all over the world it seems that everything Moon Boots touches turns to Gold. We look forward to welcoming him to our tropical paradise and witnessing the magic ourselves.

DrDr (live) [Champion Records]

Brighton trio DrDr are giving bass orientated music a new lease of life. Consisting of two producers and a female vocalist, DrDr will be gracing our stage performing LIVE. This is a sight to be witnessed as they draw the audience in with an experience like no other and setting the foundations to support our tropical paradise. Not restricted to a single genre, DrDr fuse dark fluid breaks with a creative twist on covers of the likes of Major Lazer and Justin Timberlake which have received a vast amount of attention. DrDr's own productions take huge influences from 90's Garage creating a tight patchwork of bouncing rhythms to complement diva-laden vocals such as their latest release Addicted. This trio are something to watch out for and bringing a completely different vibe to a club night experience, we are very exciting to be having DrDr at our summer closing party.
