Following the fun and success of our first and second evenings we're proud to present a third open mic night special in Jazz and Improvisation featuring the awesome Major Ruse!

If you want to experience something different in Nottingham, interested in expanding your improvisational skills or just want to tick that 'Experience a Mad Jazzy Open Mic Night' line off your bucket list, then this is an evening for you! You're welcome to just watch or you can even perform amongst the house band along with a whole bunch of local talent. These nights are all about experiencing collaboration in its rawest form and you can experience it with Happy Hour drinks and free entry, live here at Rescue Rooms.

About the band // Major Ruse are a Jazz/Improvisational trio bringing together everything from Ornette Coleman to J Dilla. Forming in the summer of 2017, Marcus Joseph, Jamie Sykes and Joe Egan have been hiding away, rehearsing intensely, getting to know each others creative dynamics whilst sculpting vehicles for improvisation. Recently releasing their EP launching it with two shows in Leicester and at Acosutic rooms. They are truely a fun experience for all interested in the creative arts.
