21:30 | The Edi Johnston Bit
The Edi Johnston Bit always brings to the stage a performance that tries to engage the audience rather than a background. As anyone who has seen it can attest to, this Ukulele Hiphop Musical Comedy performer craves your attentions to the minutiae and detail of life and this Autumn brings a show that focuses on the choices and quandaries in modern life that we face from our childhoods, through to middle age and beyond. Why is Donald Trump’s hair like that? Which series should I watch next on Netflix? Is a Jaffa Cake actually a Biscuit? How does a Ninja find romance at work? These thoughts and more crucial lifelong questions are addressed by Edi, a Nottingham dwelling, Ginger, Ukulele playing, Hiphop loving, tea drinking, sport following, prop wielding, comfortable shoe wearing musical comedian. With nods to Morecambe & Wise, Victoria Wood, Bill Bailey & Tim Vine, The Edi Johnston Bit shares his particular view on life growing up from child to parenthood within the modern day UK through the oft maligned art of Ukulele Rap Musical Comedy. Having played at all manner of venues like Rock City, Splendour, Glastonbury & Buckingham Palace, Edi is a local performer who just loves getting out and playing and bringing a smile to people's faces as he no doubt will to the gathered audience at Acoustic Rooms.
