Here at The Rescue Rooms we’re putting on a couple of amazing gigs that are absolutely nothing to get in!

The first of which is an Acoustic Rooms special with BEANS ON TOAST on 12th December…

This isn’t the first time Beans has made an appearance in The Rescue Rooms bar. Back in April he headlined the busiest Acoustic Rooms to date, covering Bryan Adams and generally being amazing.

He’s got a new record out called ‘Trying to Tell The Truth’ (produced by The Rescue Rooms stalwart and all-round brilliant bloke Frank Turner), which is available through XTRA Mile Recordings and at the gig.

Also on the bill, we’ve got some incredible Nottingham acts: Gerry Trimble, Will Bailey, Alexa Hawksworth, Alex Blood and the Diggers and Joe Slater.

The night kicks off at 7pm.

The second is the latest in the series of our Vice Magazine events, featuring Gross Magic, Eagulls, Childhood and Guilty Parents on 14th December.

Following on from the October and November events featuring Walls and Beaty Heart is Gross Magic. Known to his mother as Sam McGarrigle, Gross Magic is an extremely talented young man. His music is melodic and glittery and brilliant. The Guardian think he’s making music that sounds like T-Rex, Nirvana and Porcelain Raft, whilst in the office we reckon it sounds more like a care-free Flaming Lips or Ariel Pink. Yeah, it’s eclectic…

Leeds five-piece Eagulls make a beautifully horrible racket. Single Council Flat Blues sounds like slacker rock at it’s best, until it explodes into an unforgiving, punk-laden pop ditty. Unmissable.

Also on the bill are local acts Childhood and Guilty Parents. Expect the same amount of free drinks, free magazines and free music from the last events. Doors are at 10pm.
