Alt-Rock 3-piece Swear Blind formed in Nottingham off the back of over 15 years of firm friendship and musical expertise. Songwriting duo Drew Lawson (Vocals/Guitar/Electronics/Producer) and Roo Buxton (Vocals/Guitar) have been penning tunes together for many years. Now joined by Liam Broad (Drums).
They’ve just newly signed to Easthaven Records. The trio are ready to unleash Swear Blind’s debut single Waster on the world in 2023. As previous members of a variety of other bands, the three friends have built a huge bank of talent between them. That they are excited to pool together and draw on in this new project. Lawson, Buxton and Broad have all spent the last decade honing their skills in behind-the-scenes roles. Working as touring technicians and session players for other artists. The invaluable experience gained during this time has given them the knowledge and drive to create something truly special.
With a burning desire to get back in front of the curtain. Writing together has always been a massive outlet for the mental health issues that the two lead songwriters have dealt with in their lives. Being able to funnel those words and feelings into Swear Blind together has helped them to find a feeling of belonging.
